Meet Mathis, your guide and photographer
I’m Mathis, a photographer with a passion for motorcycles. I first discovered South Africa while travelling with friends, and that spirit of sharing a journey is what inspired Cape Ride Adventures.
A place I wanted to share
What struck me about Cape Town was how close such different landscapes are to one another. You leave the city, follow the ocean, then climb a road that reveals another view of the peninsula. On a motorcycle, you feel those changes: the air cools, the mountains come into focus, and you find yourself wanting to stop and take it all in.
I wanted to share these roads with the same care I would put into planning a trip for friends. That means choosing enjoyable routes, leaving time to explore and making sure the day is about more than reaching the next stop.

First Aid Level 1Sharing the ride
Before you arrive, we talk about your riding experience and what you would like from the trip. Some people come mainly for the roads; others want time for sightseeing, photography or a more leisurely introduction to the region. Those conversations help me plan a journey that suits you.
During the tour, I guide you along the route and through the stops. There is an itinerary, but also time to talk, have a coffee or simply enjoy a view.
Photography along the way
Working as a photographer has taught me to notice light, gestures and expressions. On a motorcycle trip, that might be a quiet moment beside the sea, a break between stages or a bike framed by the landscape.
My aim is to record the day as you experience it. Photographs that bring back the places, the people and the atmosphere of your trip.
