What licence do I need?

You need a valid motorcycle licence for the selected bike and the documents accepted by our partner and local authorities. Additional requirements depend on where your licence was issued. Check these before booking; an International Driving Permit does not replace your national licence.

When should I visit?

The best timing depends on the trip you have in mind and how flexible your dates are. Summer offers longer days; winter calls for more flexibility around rain and daylight. We plan the route with the season and forecast in mind.

Is the tour private or shared?

All our tours, from day rides to longer trips, are available as private bookings or shared departures. Travel with your own group or join other participants. Dates, group sizes and pricing for your chosen option are confirmed before booking.

Is riding gear provided?

A helmet, jacket and gloves are included on every tour. Sizes and any other items you need to bring are confirmed before departure.

How do I book?

Complete the enquiry form or contact Mathis. Once dates, motorcycles and the programme have been checked, you receive a proposal. The booking is confirmed under the terms provided and on payment of the deposit.

What happens if the weather prevents the ride?

If Cape Ride Adventures cancels the ride because conditions are unsafe, you choose between a new date agreed together (subject to availability) and a full refund of the amounts paid to us, within 14 days. No credit note is imposed. Less pleasant weather does not mean cancellation as long as the ride remains reasonably safe.

Are photographs included?

Yes. Mathis photographs the journey along the way. Your photographs are delivered within 48 hours of the end of your day ride or tour.

When is payment due?

The booking terms require a 30% deposit to confirm the booking, with the balance due 15 days before departure for day rides. If you book less than 15 days ahead, full payment is due once availability is confirmed in writing. For multi-day trips, the payment schedule is set out in the proposal.

Can I bring a passenger?

Mention this when you enquire. It depends on the motorcycle, tour and rental terms. Equipment, participation requirements and any additional charge are confirmed before booking.

Where do we meet?

The meeting place and time are confirmed before the ride, depending on the bike and collection arrangements. If you would like a transfer from your accommodation, ask Mathis about availability and pricing.

How much riding experience do I need?

Previous motorcycle riding experience is required; these tours are not beginner lessons. Tell Mathis which motorcycles you usually ride and about your recent experience so you can discuss whether the route is suitable.

What is the minimum age?

The published terms set a minimum age of 25 for riders. Partner requirements and the conditions for passengers must also be confirmed before booking.

How many motorcycles can we book?

Include the number of riders and passengers in your enquiry. Mathis checks group capacity and motorcycle availability for your preferred dates and tour.

Are meals included?

Included meals are listed for each day in the programme. A scheduled lunch stop does not necessarily mean the meal is included in the price.
